Cardio pulmonary cerebral Resuscitation 

                     ( CPCR ) in Dogs  

Jen Chung maneuver by  using 25 gauge hypodermic needle in the nasal philtrum and twisting the needle to stimulate respiration.This is more effective in cats than dogs. It stimulates spontaneous respiration.

Oxygen flow rate @ 150 ml per kg per minute.

If asystole administer epinephrine0.02 to 0.04mg /Kg IV

Atropine 0.4 mg/kg IV or Intra tracheal.immedialtly after giving epinephrine.

Repeat every 2 to 5 mts. during aystole with cardiac compressions

If ventricular fibrillation administer defibrillator @ 5 J/kg Externally.

Chemical defibrillator By Magnesium chloride @ 30mg/kg IV or IT 

Nasal Patency air flow Test in Cattle-

 Effective treatment of leptospirosis in cattle

Inj.Oxytetracycline LA @20 mg/kg IM

 single dose or repeat  once or twice.

Inj.Dihydrostreptyomycin @25 mg per kg IM every 24 hrs for 3 to 5 days

Inj. Oxytertacycline @ 20 mg per kg for 3 to 5 days @ 24hrs interval

Inj.Tilmicosin @10mg per kg Sc

Inj.Cetiofur @ 5mg perkg IM for 5 days 

                  or

Inj. Ceftiofur @20 mg per kg IM for 3 days

Inj.Amoxicillin @15 mg per kg 

Above all Oxytetracycline treatment is very effective

Tetanus in a calf- with tympany and erected ears and stiff gait

Colic signs due to Intestinal Obstruction in a cow

Downer Cow due to diffused peritonitis-Abdominocentecis

 Renal threshold level  for Glucose 

Dog : 180 to 200 mg/dl

Cat: 290 mg/dl ( in diabetic lower threshold level in cats and not all cats have stress induced hyperglycemia)

Cattle: 100 to 140 mg /dl

Horse : 160 to 180 mg/dl

Goats : 150 mg/dl
