( Otitis in cattle and buffalo)

onchocerosis, stephanofilaria…


Nematodes – 
Rhabditis bovis( Otitis externa)

Bacterial –

 pseudomaonas,staphylococcus,
 proteus, E.coli, corynebactrium, 
mycoplasma, Hemophilus somnus

(H.somnus –
cns involvemnet with meningitis)

Fungal –Aspergillosis,

               conidia,
              malazesia

Mites – Railletia auris


Signs

¢ Common in Buffaloes
¢ Individual or herd affection
¢ Discharge from the ears
¢ Circling
¢ Vestibular signs
¢ Nystagmus
¢ CNS
¢ Meningitis
¢ TEME

  Treatment

¢  Ivermectin

¢Antibiotics- 
      Enrofloxacin,       
      OTC, 
      Lincomycin, 
     Streptopenicillin , 
     Gentamicin 
     or 
    combination antibiotics 

¢ Flushing of ear canal with saline     and povidone iodine as 10:1 
    or along with Clotrimazole drops
